Australian Adam Koessler‘s daughter, Rumor-Rose, has stage 4 neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a cancer that develops in the nerve tissues of the adrenal glands, neck, chest, and/or spinal cord. Stage 4 is the most severe kind, and means the tumor has spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
In an effort to ease her pain and her relieve her discomfort he gave her some cannabis oil. He claims that giving Rumer-Rose the oil led to a “miraculous” improvement in her condition.
In early January he went back to the hospital with his daughter for further treatment and he was promptly arrested and charged with “supplying dangerous drugs to a person under 16 and possessing dangerous drugs.” Medicinal marijuana is not legal in Australia.
Since then nearly 200,000 people worldwide have signed a petition in support of this father who gave his dying daughter cannabis oil to ease her pain.
