Russell Frederick is a barber in Georgia at A-1 Kutz in Snelville who’s begun offering area parents a new way of punishing misbehaving sons: by shaving off the top of their hair to make them look like balding old men.
Russell calls it the “Benjamin Button Special” and offers the service free for kids who need to “act grown.” He started advertising this unique punishment after it worked successfully with his 12-year old son.
Frederick told the Washington Post that he came up with it after his son Rushawn’s grades began to fall last fall. After the cut he says Rushawn’s marks went up dramatically.
Interest skyrocketed after he posted before and after photos online of the first boy whose parents brought him in for the Benjamin Button.
